Dear Uncle Frank, Tim, Phil,Elizabeth, Steve, Joanna and Sam. I am so thankful for all my memories of times spent together as kids and young adults. Your mother was a wonderful aunt – caring, interested, a model of selfless service and with a sense of humor and great laugh. She made the best cheese ball.
I wish I could be with you for your mom’s funeral. I look forward to seeing her with Jesus. I”m praying for your comfort and help with the practical details in the days ahead.
Love, Michelle

I was so saddened to hear of the homegoing of your dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Winnifred was such an amazing God fearing lady.
I knew her years ago when she worked at the Gatineau Pulp and Paper Mill.
I went to school just down the street from the mill. Some warm summery days she would come to the school on her lunch hour and visit me. Her visits I will never forget as I was a timid child and often bullied at school and she would just love on me and encourage me We would have such great talks about the Lord and she would tell me she would pray for me in those trying days for me. It was quite something that a 25 or 26 year old would take such an interest in a 10 year old. I will remember her with great fondness. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain for sure. Someday I will see her again.
Deepest sympathy to the family and especially to Lois (Beach) and Murray Gibson.
Sincerely
Phyllis Farley (Harris)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Aunt Winnifred has passed, quietly, into the light and presence of her Savior, but leaves a great empty space, that she had filled with gentleness, kindness, and love for others all her life. I have fond memories of her welcoming spirit, of joyful meals at that huge table of yours in Schomberg, of fun moments together on her visits in Québec, and of her laughing with my mom, laughing to tears… I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Joan Blyth says
I don’t know if the family of Winnifred will see such a late response but only after I looked up obituaries was I able to see that our dear friend Winnifred had gone to be with her Lord and best friend.
We had such great times because of the Gideons and spent many meals together in both of our homes. She was so loving and encouraging and we shared many
Stories of family and had wonderful prayer times together. We have missed them and unable to connect trying Franks phone number several times. Our condolences to all the family .

My heartfelt condolences to dear Frank and all the family on the home-going of your beloved Winnifred! A ‘mother beloved’ has passed into the Lord’s Presence, and she will be deeply missed. She has been such an encouragement to so many of God’s people over the years, including our own family when we were privileged to visit in your home in Schomberg. Having known dear Winnifred my whole life as she was my SS teacher in Ottawa back in the early 60s, I can attest to her gentle, kind & understanding spirit. As in the words of King Lemuel, “Her children rise up and call her blessed!”

We never met your mom, but know how wonderful she was because of the way that you always spoke so lovingly of her. We know that she was a great influence on your life and who you are today. We mourn with you, but also celebrate as we know that she is now in the arms of Jesus. Prayers for you as you navigate this new reality of life.
