Beatty, Herbert Sydney (Syd)
(Former Teacher at East York Collegiate).
Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Care Centre, Newmarket, on Sunday, October 12th, 2008. Syd Beatty, in his 77th year, beloved husband of Irene (Thorne). Loving father of Craig Beatty and Marjorie Tepina, Paula Beatty and Paul Burley, and Keith. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Ryan and Emily Burley, and Sierra and Alyssa Beatty. Dear brother of Joan McCammon, Freda Duncan and Elizabeth Crawford.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Saturday, October 18th, 2008 from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Service, in the chapel, at 11:00 am. Donations in Syd’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
