
Reverend Monsignor Philip Kennedy C.H.H.
At his home in Everett on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Rev. Msgr. Philip Kennedy, in his 73rd year. Beloved son of the late Michael and Dorothy Kennedy. Loving brother of Anne (Michel) Bérubé, Michael (Linda), Ayngus (Donna), Andy (Nancy), Neil (Martha), Kathleen Kennedy, Margaret Kennedy, and Clara (Barry) Kennedy-Shirley. Sadly missed by his 16 nieces and nephews and predeceased by his nephew and 24 great nieces and nephews. Msgr. Kennedy was ordained in 1983, was first appointed to St. Anne’s Parish in Brampton before going to the Diocese of Thunder Bay for six years. He joined the Pontifical Missions Societies in 1995 for six years. Following stops at parishes in Scarborough, Alliston and Colgan, ON., he served as president of Catholic Missions in Canada from 2006-2016, and Father Prior for the Ontario Provincial Board of the Columbia Squires. Resting at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (190 King St. S.), Alliston on Wednesday from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Colgan.
