Dear Lynda,
I have been thinking of all my great memories. So many good, fun memories. Your personality helped us to enjoy things and mine led us to think on the good side. Neither of us were into Bingo, but we never missed it. And you won many cool items, like the right shade of blue pot holders. The great time we had trying on wigs and hats. You picked out my favourite one for me. You were a super model for makeup night. Wow! Did you ever look great when you were done. Our room was always filled with flowers even if we had to pick some from the garden outside. Your favourite were the lilacs, even if we had to use a pop can for the vase. Lots of white, pink and deep red peonies.
I was challenged to think of things for you to eat. Always picking up jello if a new flavor came in. Many trips to the neighborhood store to get you a milk shake. Reading at night different Bible verses or devotionals to keep our spirits up. Getting to know you helped my time going through treatments fly by. I love you, Lynda! I also gave you the beautiful candle which filled our room with the odour of white lilacs even without it being lit.
Such fond memories of a great friend.

Dear Rick, Shanyn, and family,
I never got to meet Lynda, but feel like I know her from the time she spent with my Mom (Lillian) at Sunnybrook. Our prayers and sympathy are with you all at this time. We are glad that Lynda’s battle is over and we will see her again in Heaven.

I didn’t get the chance to meet Lynda, I’m friends with her daughter, Shanyn, but I know she raised a wonderful daughter, which is proof of what an amazing woman she was. I was very grieved at her passing, the pain is over for Lynda, I hope she finds some peace. She will be missed but she will live on in Shanyn. My heart goes out to Shanyn and her family.
Doug and Julie Small says
I have been Lynda’s close friend for the last 30 years. The memories we have shared within this time will always be in my heart and thoughts. I will sadly miss you and the joy and fun we had together. Love always your friend Doug.
Now my wife Julie would also like to say something from her heart.
I have known you for 10+ years and even though you were Doug’s friend before mine I will always cherish the time, laughs, jokes, fun and love we shared. I Love you Lynda and hope you R.I.P.
Until we meet again. xxoo

In all the conversations I’ve had with her, via Shanyn’s shoulder and screaming across the room so she could say hi, I’ve never had a bad time with her. She was always warm and thoughtful for me, always willing to drop a line.
She will be missed.
