Riordan: Lauren Wynne,
Lauren unexpectedly passed away at her home in Tottenham on Wednesday September 30 2015. She leaves behind loving sons Kevin and Keith, and daughters in-law Heidi and Carrie-Rae, and her step grandchildren Tyler, and Cody (Melisa) Gibbons. She will be remembered with love by Gary and Trish Alexander and her beloved nephews Riley and Devin. Lauren is predeceased by her brother Randy Alexander, and her parents Archibald and Mary Alexander.
Read the paper every day. Devour your latest book in one sitting. If a favourite song is on, listen to it louder than you should and don’t care what others think. Always adopt strays. Always. If you’re ever tempted to call or send a message or a card, or stay up that extra hour with friends or family and have that extra laugh, then do it. Her sons do it because she lovingly raised them to be that way. If you do any of those things these next few days, please think of their Mum a minute, and Keith and Kevin will love you for it too.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lauren’s life will be held on Sunday April 3, 2016 from 1 to 5pm at The Man of Yorke (11 Mill St. E. Tottenham, ON ). Please spread the word, as there are some people out there who knew Kevin and Keith’s Mom, that they’ve never had the chance to meet, and they would really like to. So, let’s get together and have some food and fun sharing memories of their Mom. And please let us know if you plan on attending, at [email protected] so we can know how much Potato Salad to make!
As per her wishes, instead of flowers please donate to The Humane Society.

My sincere sympathy to Kevin and Keith and their families, and to the Alexander family. Lori and I have been friends for about 38 years. We were neighbors in Tottenham, and our children played together. We went to parties together. Even though we moved away Lori and I still kept in touch. We would have lengthy phone calls and always remembered our birthdays and Christmas cards. Lori was a beautiful lady who loved her children, and was a very caring daughter to her parents. I will miss our talks, our sharing, our laughs together. We were going to reunite as my daughter moved to Alliston. I keep waiting to talk to you Lori, and can’t believe I can’t. I will miss your friendship and caring and loving ways. May God have a special place in heaven for you where you will be experiencing peace and happiness. Love you dear friend. I will never forget you. You made your family proud!

Keivin & Keith,
We have wonderful fond memories of your mother in your early years when were all neighbours on Albert Street. We use to party with your parents way back then and we spent time with your parents when you lived in Bermuda. We had lost touch with your mother over the years when we moved up north. I will always remember her beauty, her love of reading and cooking.
Our sincere condolences to you both.

So sad to here about Laurens passing. Lauren was very inspirational to me just by the way she was so real and like it or not she is who she is. I had many nice short chats with her mostly about Lucy as I am a cat lover as well and always a menton by her about her grown up kiddos. I will miss Laurens visits to the post office. You all are so blessed to have such a vibrant woman to look up to and model your life after.

Lauren I do not know you, but over the years you became a familiar name to me by my best friend, Lynda Cochrane. Lynda, shared the little bags of comics you would mail her, and the cute stories from the past when you both worked together in her bakery. You two shared countless fun times. You have left such a large empty hole in her heart and the sadness overwhelms her terribly.
This will continue as she picks up the phone to call you and realizes, she can no longer, or looks at the phone patiently waiting for you to call her, and again realizes that call will not come in either. May you rest in peace dear woman and be on the Rainbow Ridge with all the animals again happy, carefree and amongst the many animals waiting patiently to be re-united by their families……..

I will miss you my dear friend, our long phone calls, and times spent talking about life’s little things, the important things, then the little things again before we’d say goodbye. We would always end with one of your funniest jokes that kept me smiling until we shared again. For 35 years I have cherished your friendship and who you were , a mother who so loved her sons and her extended family. A wonderful daughter and sister and aunt.
Your pets had a most loving life. Lauren your heart was full of warmth and you shared this with everyone who knew you.You will be with me in my heart forever. Love Lynda (and family)

Lori loved to chat and took part in our family gatherings. We always admired her for visiting our mom when a resident of the ‘Simcoe Manor. Mom could hear her cheery, loud voice and was happy to have her care enough to come. She was a great aunt to my grandsons and a kitty-sitter too. I will miss her as much as Gary, Trish, Kevin , Keith and all of the kids….she made us laugh.
