Oh how I loved working with John in Ops Control at Wardair. He kept me in stitches with that Scottish brogue teasing me mercilessly and singing snippets of funny sayings and songs…something about hotpipes and piles???lol
Although I was hapoy to get promoted from secretary to ground controller it meant only seeing him briefly on a shift change and missed his joking and laughter.
You lost a good man. So very sorry he was taken from you so soon.

Hello everyone and thank you for your messages and kind words. It’s great to see all these familiar names and the memories we all shared together and with my dad. Friday was a tough day, but we had a nice goodbye, and a nice dinner with family that night. We told a few stories, had a few laughs, some tears, and several toasts to my dad! Mom is doing ok, we all have some comfort that dad is at peace after a very difficult few years. Take care everyone, be safe and thanks for the messages and friendship during this time. Love, May, Alan, and Diane.
