Irene Hall was like a second mother to me. I recall many visits to the Hall’s home when I was as a child. I recall many chats with Irene in her kitchen over the years. I’m sure I drove her crazy, but she was always easy to talk to and a lot of fun!

My sympathies to the family. I went to Mount Wolfe’s single room public school on the 10th line of Albion at the same time as Irene until we moved to Tottenham in 1952. She was 3-4 grades ahead of me. Mrs. Walsh was our teacher. Then she married Ross Hall who lived just one farm north of us on the 10th line. Anson & I chummed a bit in public school. She was a fine person.
