
George William O’Neil: George, Geordy, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle George and a few other choice names he occasionally inspired from his wife, was a man who loved life, loved talking to anyone, helping anyone in need and always shared his sense of humour and laughter with any and all around him. George passed away at his home in Etobicoke on Tuesday March 22, 2022. George O’Neil was in his 92nd year. He was beloved husband of the late Charlene (Wheeler). Loving father of George (Carley), and John (Deirdre). Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Beric, Rowan, and Gareth. Dear brother of the late Bessie, Mae, and John. Loved brother-in-law and Uncle to many. Neighbour and friend to all.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Wednesday March 30, 2022 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service, in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the late spring in Schomberg Union Cemetery. For any commemoration of George, please give another a smile, a hand, an anonymous donation offered to the charity of your choice, while remembering him and that he never looked back nor kept track when he gave to others. Mr. O’Neil I will always remember as a kind person. Someone who enjoyed the company of others and always offered a smile. At times, he had quite the sense of humour too. He had me laughing many times usually at the expense of his son George, in a teasing manner. Great memories!
