Gates, Frederick Dinnick. Attended by his beloved grandson, Jason David Dinnick, and in his 93rd year, on Tuesday, August 16th, 2005. Fred Gates, of Islington, beloved husband of the late Florence Lavinia Fisher. Loved father of Barbara Harriet Lord and wise grandfather of Jason David Dinnick, Iris Rosalie Dinnick, Emily Faith Lord, and Megan Blythe Lord. Survived by his two younger brothers: Douglas Heath Gates and Richard Beverley Gates.
Inspired by his great passion for teaching, education and science, Fred wished his body donated to the School of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Fred had a great love for his family, nature, his Church, and his community. We, the members of his family, are always going to love him, always going to miss him, and will always see him in those things he loved.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Sunday, August 21st, 2005 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in Christ Church Anglican, Queen Street, North, Tottenham, on Monday, August 22nd, 2005, at 11:00 am. In memory of Fred, the family would welcome flowers or donations to the charity of your choice.
