Charlene Hodinka says
I’m so sorry to learn about the passing of your mother, Christine. Your mom reached out to my father, John Hodinka. We had the opportunity to meet your parents one February when we visited friends in Toronto. We couldn’t ever put a definite relationship in place, but feel from the conversation the families were related at some point. We often exchanged phone calls and cards at Christmas. I spoke with your mom last year after the holidays. I know you’ll miss her, just as I miss both of my parents. Your family is in my thoughts. I just found out after my holiday greeting card was returned to me today.

To the Hodinka family, I offer my sincere condolences for your loss.
My most entertaining memory of Mrs. Hodinka was to watch her play “air piano keys” from her seat at her grandchildren’s piano recitals. Her friendly, supportive, positive outlook on life, inevitably fostered an attitude of consciousness and kindness towards others. Mrs. Hodinka was a lovely person and I was sorry to learn of her passing.
Wishing you all loving memories to forever hold in your heart, and comfort for the days ahead.

Clarke and Joanne Smith says
We were responsible for the Antiques Committee at the fair for many years and your mom was our most faithful member, always willing to participate and always good company. She was most pleased with herself when she made her first cell phone call from my flip phone for your dad to come pick her up.
Tony, Jacqueline (Conlan), and Leighton Costanzo says
Dear Kit, Shelly and family,
We are very saddened to learn of your mother Christine’s passing. Right up until your mother moved to Beeton, we often telephoned one another, and shared many simulating conversations together. She would soak up information like a sponge, particularly if it could be applied to her own circumstances or that of her family.
We pray that your happy memories, your faith, and the love of your family and friends will comfort you during this great loss.
Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs as you honour your mother’s memory,
Tony, Jacquie and Leighton xo
THE ROSE STILL GROWS BEYOND THE WALL
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength,
With never a thought of fear or pride.
It followed the light through the crevice’s length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before;
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing its fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve,
And make our courage faint or fail?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive:
The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattering fragrance far and wide,
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will for evermore.
