Stephenson: Carole,
Peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on November 18, her 78th birthday. Loving wife of Ronald Frederick Stephenson. Beloved mother of Lisa Laurene Stephenson and Kirsti Lillian Stephenson. Proud sister of Rodney Ellison and Philip Ellison. Proud aunt of Stephanie, Rory and Ginger. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Laurene Ellison.
Carole was born and raised in Beeton, Ontario, but moved to Toronto in her early 20’s. She was an Office Manager for lawyers, dentists and doctors over the course of many years. She was a political and community activist and a lover of the wilderness and all living things. But she derived her greatest joy by being the glue that held her family together. Carole was known for her kindness, calm nature and great love of family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.
The family of Carole Stephenson would like to invite you for a time of visitation on Monday November 29, 2021 from 6-8pm at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home (166 Main Street North, Markham). There will be a Celebration of Life the following day at 6pm in the chapel. Please feel free to wear bright colours. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in Carole’s name would be appreciated by the family.
An additional visitation will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd, Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Thursday December 2, 2021 from 11am until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 1pm. Internment will follow at Beeton Presbyterian Cemetery.

To Ron, Lisa, Kirsti, Rod and Philip.
I was saddened to hear of Carole’s passing and send my sincere condolences to all of you. My friendship with Carole began way back in our primary year at Beeton Public School and during our public and high school years I enjoyed many a sleepover in the Ellison home. I had the pleasure to be Carole’s matron of honor when she and Ron were married.
Rest in peace my dear friend. You will be missed.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Carole when we were both teens in Beeton, but as is normal, our lives took us in different directions. This has caused me to remember some really good times. Rest in peace, Carole.
