Peacefully surrounded by his family at Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday March 1, 2017. Bert Belfontaine in his 97th year, loving father of Richard “Rick” Hedges, Alison Kerr (Doug Carr), and Linda Moore (William), and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Gina, Stephanie, Lisa, Bryan, Toby, Jesse, and great grandchildren: Claire, Jon, and Katherine. Survived by his brothers: Bill, Roly, and Seth, and pre-deceased by his brothers: Jackie and Walter, his granddaughter: Laura, and his parents: John Belfontaine and Hanna Ames.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Saturday March 18, 2017 from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Toronto General or Princess Margaret Hospitals.
