McInnis: Allan Erle,
Passed peacefully at Matthews House Hospice Alliston on Thursday September 12, 2019 with family by his side, his beloved bike in the room, and surrounded with memories of his adventures. In his 74th year, Al’s ride was cut short by malignant melanoma. For 52 of those years he has been the beloved husband of Sannie McInnis (nee: Tuk). Loving father of Sjanie (Morgan Mackie) and Talbot (Jennifer). Adored opa of Hannah, Robert, and Sadie. Dear brother of Kathy Brett (Peter), Bob (Val), and Margi Laurin (Sam), and brother-in-law of Leen Tuk (Nancy), Arenda Beringer (Al), and John Tuk (Kim Alvarado). Forever in the hearts of Russ and Jane Oldfield, extended family, and friends.
Cremation has taken place, and The Last Ride, a celebration of Al’s life, will be held on Sunday, September 29th, from 3:00-5:00pm at the Gibson Centre, 63 Tupper Street West, Alliston. Spoken words will be held at 4:00pm. Please join Al’s family for a time of fellowship and sharing of memories. The family would like you to share your photos of Al to create a slideshow for his celebration of life. Please, Upload a Memory. For those who wish, donations in Al’s memory to Matthews House Hospice or a charity of your choosing would be appreciated by the family. Carpe diem: seize the day.

Sandie, I just discovered Al’s obituary. I was saddened and surprised to learn of his passing in 2019. I was a friend of Al’s at Brampton High School in Grade 13 (1963/1964). I remember him as being a friendly, intelligent guy. May his memory be a blessing to you and your family.
Colleen Coady-Rideout says
Dear Sannie and family
I was deeply saddened to hear of Al’s passing. It seems so surreal. He was an amazing soul. I would enjoy our conversations about our love of volunteer community work. He would give me great ideas about what you both had done in the past. I also enjoyed watching Al gear up for his bike rides and riding through town. He was such an inspiration. Al was like a father figure to me. He was always so caring. I enjoyed his sheepish grin he’d give me when I would ask the same question twice during our meetings. But he was patient and would take the time to always ensure I understood. Al was truly a kind and great man. A pillar of our community, a great friend and neighbour. Al will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Sending you and you family a great big hug.
Love Colleen
