So many great memories of Al over the years. He was not only our neighbour for over 16 years but he was an incredible friend. We met Alan at his niece’s wedding and what a character he was. Funny, genuine, caring person with plenty of banter and most of all a true red supporter. Vin and Alan sat for hours talking about the games and players they grew up with and putting the world to right. We certainly drank the bar dry that night until the sun came up, we actually didn’t know how we drove home to Liverpool on about 2 hours sleep! Longest drive home ever. Memories that me and Vin will cherish of such a lovely man. Thinking of the Ross family our hearts go out to you all

It was always so amazing to me to think that Alan and I knew each other during my brief time at CSA and then met again when he came into your life, many years later. That was so neat! And while we haven’t seen each other in awhile, I will always remember the special love you had for each other and your deep bond.
We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time and please accept our condolences. Sending you love.
Lino Menezes says
My deepest condolences to the Ross family. Alan was my go to guy in our Laboratory, he took his job very seriously and doing things right was always his goal. I had the privilege of knowing Alan since he started at CSA and his integrity was beyond reproach. Just last week he called me to discuss a new test requirement in our new standard, we had a great discussion, he was my friend. Alan was a terrific hockey goalie that on occasion played with our CSA Monday night group. But his favorite was soccer and especially Liverpool, and he was extremely happy when they won the Premier League last season.
Alan was approachable because he treated people with humility and lived by the Golden Rule:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

My deepest condolences to the Ross family during this sad and difficult time. I was shocked to hear Alan is gone from our lives but I will never forget him or the impact he had on me in the 25 years I knew him at CSA. Alan always had a smile and was a smart, caring and humorous friend. I had the utmost respect for Alan as he spoke what he felt and never held back. His countless hours and work ethic in the CSA lab was not unnoticed by his friends and colleagues. Alan my friend I will miss all our talks and laughs over the years and thank you for always lending an ear when I needed it and boosting us all up on Fridays with your rock music !
Rest in Peace you were taken from us way to early.
Bonnie Pickett says
My condolences to the family. No matter where life takes you there are just some people that leave an impact. Alan was one of those people. Thankful we had many great years of working in some capacity together at CSA. He stood by what he said and pulled no punches when he wanted to make a point. Fact being he always fought for what was right and fair. You could hear the wheels turning in his head! He had a good sense of humor and i really enjoyed our conversations and rant sessions. On Monday morning if we saw each other in the cafe, hall or lab the first thing to come out of one of our mouths was “is it friday yet” then we would laugh. He will be greatly missed, left this world much too early. RIP Alan.

There are no words to even come close to show the love and guidance Alan gave to so so many. He was a driven man and coach for sure. He taught me all I know about the game and had so much more to give. We won we lost we laughed and cried. We had many many good times. The pain of his lose is so so great. My heart goes out to his loved ones. His memory will always be strong in the many who’s lives he touched and enriched. He will live on in each and every one of us. Much Love and respect to a great man, father, coach, mentor and friend. YNWA

Heather and family, Condolences for your unexpected loss of Alan. I only met him briefly , but I feel like I knew him like so many have commented on. Alan coached our boys for a few years in the Barrie Soccer Club competitive program. He had such a great rapport with all the players and was just an outstanding individual in so many ways. Always a real pleasure to speak to Alan and to get to know him as a person. So this was shocking and truly sad news that he died at such an early age. Fraser and I are both upset about this but shared some of the great stories about Alan over those few years we had the pleasure to get to know him. My profound and heartfelt thoughts go out to all of Alan’s and Lynn’s families. These are such strange and perplexing times. Growing up in Schomberg, Alan was such a great kid and fine young man. He definitely was taken far too soon, but all those who crossed his path in his short life were irrefutably blessed.
The Landsberg Family says
Our family loved spending time with Alan and Heather, celebrating the Jewish New Year and Passover, year after year. Alan was quiet the first time he joined us and was surely overwhelmed by us, but soon became part of our family. He loved my mum’s chopped liver and happily accepted seconds from her (and took some home for thirds!). We loved the stories that he told sitting around the table, as well as listening to he and Barry talk about football. Watching the love between Alan and Heather was beautiful and inspiring. Our hearts are filled with so much sadness and we hope that one day we will better understand why G-d thought Alan was ready to be in heaven. We pray for strength for Heather and the entire Ross family. We will be there to support Heather always. Baruch Dayan Emet. Sending all our love, Barry, Alexandra, Sam and Harrison

Alvin Chokshi says
My condolences to the Ross Family,
Alan was a member of my Team, as a Senior AV Technician.
Alan was a dedicated and passionate individual, who always supported his fellow colleagues over the past ~25 years at CSA. He touched many people and made them stronger contributors to our company. Alan Trained and Mentored many fellow colleagues. His dedication to others, allowed them to pursue new opportunities at CSA to strengthen our organization. Many employees are so grateful to have known Alan and are appreciative to call him a Friend and Mentor.
He enjoyed listening to his music on his McIntosh Amp, while working away in our Lab. On occasion, as I walked by Alan’s lab area, you would hear him defend his all mighty Liverpool Team. For those who would speak poorly of his Team, you were setting yourself up for a battle of words – where you would come away with some emotional scars.
My deepest condolences to the Ross Family. We will miss you Alan.
