Passed away suddenly at his son’s home, on November 15, 2023. Jim Ricci in his 84th year, beloved husband of the late Wanda Ricci (nee: Blackwood). Loving father of Janet (Bob) Watson, Sandra (Ralph) Schuster, and Jason (Maria Cesira) Ricci. Remembered with love by his grandchildren Grant (Jacquelyn), Heather (Michael), Audrey (Andrew), Katrina (Frankie), Wolfgang (Katie), Ava (Curtis), Rocchina, Rosemary, James, and great grandson Alistair. Predeceased by his loving sisters Adelina and Filomena. Fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 4-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Church, 4781 Conc Rd 5, Adjala, Alliston, ON., L9R 1V1, at 2pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Donations in Jim’s memory to Matthews House Hospice Alliston, Vaughan Hospice, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. In 2016 Jim and Wanda welcomed my wife and I to their Easter dinner. We had met some of the family before, but we were overwhelmed by the love shown for their grandparents. We could see the blushing pride bursting from Jim and Wanda’s faces as they scanned the 14 family members sitting and laughing at their beautiful harvest table. Jim and Wanda looked so content, probably thinking their job was done, they can relax now, and reap the benefits of their harvest. The family left behind will be okay, for they have taken all they learned from their grandparents and have begun passing it on to the family’s next generation.
What a beautiful legacy they have left behind!
