Dear Janet, Matt, and Kevin,
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Roger. I first met Roger through Brian Sirbovan back when we were in our 20’s. We were casual friends in the ensuing years, but both ultimately ended up working with Brian for much of our careers.
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Roger on a mining project North of Sudbury. Roger, Jordan Christhoff and myself commuted each week and often stayed in the same hotel in Sudbury. Working together during the day in a site trailer, and dining at night with Roger and Jordan, afforded me the opportunity to get to know Roger much better. Roger was truly a joy to spend time with. Always friendly and co-operative with a smile on his face. His work ethic was un-matched. He typically worked several hours later than anyone else, often late into the evening, and yet he always maintained a positive upbeat attitude.
Following our mining adventure, I once again had the pleasure of working with Roger on a Hydro One project out of a project office in Mississauga. In typical form, Roger plugged away doing his job tirelessly in relative calm. His easy going manner provided a calming influence on his co-workers, and the word No was not in his workplace vocabulary.
I want to express my deepest sympathies. I can’t imagine your sorrow of his loss, and can tell you that I too will never forget Roger.

Roger’s untimely passing has left a huge void in this world. My memories go back over 55 years. I think back to our many adventures through our teens and twenties. Later our relationship evolved into business colleagues. Roger has always been well-respected as a “go to” person to get any job done. He was non-judgmental, honest, loyal and always acted with integrity. A real “professional”. He was a true family man and a great friend. Roger was loved and respected by clients and colleagues alike. They don’t come any better than Rog! Our deepest condolences to Janet, Matthew & Kevin, as well as Roger’s extended family.

Roger and I were co-workers and also opponents when we first met in 2011. When I moved into the office next to his later that year, we discovered we had differing opinions as well related to economics and politics but we finally discovered we had a lot in common and we both looked forward to our after hours chats in his office or mine on a regular basis. It’s the thing I’ll remember most about Roger and we developed a deep respect and liking for one another. I will sadly miss those times when it was just Roger and me. My deepest condolences to Janet, Matthew and Kevin and Roger’s extended family and may you have only happy memories of him
