8 years ago I met Roger, He was my trainer, my coach, my mentor, my friend and I also think of him and his family, as my family. it’s taken me some time to be able to write this. He was so funny and quick witted with his jokes. He always could put a smile on my face. I worked with him every day for a straight year or two. We have so many memories and they are all great. Roger changed my life in many ways, He pushed me every day to get into the housing market. I remember saying to myself, there’s no way and him saying just try Tara and as a single woman by myself I thought it was impossible. Him saying Tara just try. Now I have owned my little beach house for 6.5 years I really owe it to his push. The patience he had for me when I first started hydrovacing was impeccable I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I wasn’t lucky enough to meet him. He and his sweet wife Lilly, had invited my mom and my daughter over for dinner one Christmas, I will forever be grateful for his open door. Us all spending time at the beach will be memories never forgotten. I had the pleasure of spending some alone time with him his first day in hospice I brought him a bunny we named Hydro that he could tell all his secrets to and never feel alone his last days We had some special moments. I wish he never had to go through this. I wish all the family love and strength through this time Roger my dear friend, Rest easy buddy, I love you and know your in a better place looking over Amber,Chrissy,Lilly and your grand children and brothers and sisters and friends. You are now a hydrovac legend. Miss you

Amber Gunderson says
I was really young when I met Lillian and Roger so I have very fond memories of both of them. The one that pops in my brain right now is the KFC beach ball that Roger threw out the apartment window and I caught it. Which is silly to think about now. At the time I thought it was really cool that not only did he give the ball to me and my sister but, that he tossed it out the apartment window.
