Robert Edward (Bob) Clark
August 23, 1927 – April 13, 2025
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many including his wife Willa-Jean of 68 years, children Jane (Tim), Ted (Nora), Ron (Susan) and Howard (predeceased), grandchildren Colin, Andrew, Ryan, Tyler, Melissa and Emma. He was a brother to Anne, Ruth (predeceased), Bernice (predeceased) and Jack (predeceased), and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Bob started life in Banner, Ontario and moved to Toronto in the 1950s before retiring with Jean to Haliburton. He spent his working life as a carpenter and woodworker. He used these skills to renovate and update their Rexdale home. He then turned his attention to building a cottage that later became their retirement home on Soyers Lake in Haliburton. This was the hub for many family and friend gatherings. When not tinkering and woodworking in the shop, he enjoyed being a curler, chorister, square dancer and always a reader. His gentle nature and good humour will be missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends and family at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Tuesday April 22, 2025, from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday April 23, 2025 at 11am. Cremation will follow. Donations to JAK Fund (a local charity to assist troubled youth who need a helping hand) or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Many fond memories of Mr. Clark as a Scout Leader, Outdoorsman, Harmonica player and a comedian. We were neighbours from my earliest memories and the Clarks still remain family friends 65 years later. Our condolences to all of you that have lost a wonderful Father, Grandfather and Husband .
