BOSSÉ: Réjeanne Louise (nee: Violette)
Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Matthews House Hospice at the age of 83 years. Devoted wife to Guilles George for 62 years. Loving mother to Gil (Tracey), Renee (Sheldon), Michele (Glenn) and Dennis (Penny). Cherished grandmother to Luke (Rachel), Matt (Stacey), Katie (James), Mark (Celeste), Darren (Melissa), Amy (Christian), Christopher (Lisa), Téa, Lily, Jacob and Sydney. Deeply missed by her great-grandchildren Max, Miller, Wyatt, Mason, Chloe, Serena, Jordy, Jack and Logan. Predeceased by her 10 brothers and 2 sisters. Reunited in Heaven with her parents Joachin and Louise. Réjeanne was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick in 1940. Her parents were Joachim (Jim) & Louise Violette. She had 10 brothers and 2 sisters and was the second youngest of the bunch. She grew up in Edmunston and then in her late teens studied in Quebec for nursing. Just as she turned 20 she was introduced by one of her brothers to her husband, Guilles. They were married in 1962. They went on to have four children. After their daughters were born in New Brunswick, they ventured to Toronto to look for better job opportunities for her husband. Then they had their two sons. Eventually, they settled in Malton, Ontario. They became a big part of the community. When the children played sports, Réjeanne was the best hockey mom around. She held a few jobs and taught ceramics in her basement. Her greatest joy was being able to stay home and raise her family. Eventually, the family moved to Bolton then Tottenham /Beeton area. She was one of the biggest supporters following the 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren’s involvement in sports and dance. She was always a face in the crowd, giving her support at school events and other accomplishments. She took the most joy in having her family around and wished for them to always be there for each other. She started having health issues. She put up the biggest fight till she couldn’t fight anymore. She will be missed by so many.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 11 am-12 pm until the time of the Funeral Service in the Cliffside Hall at 12pm.
