How sad and broken are our hearts that Italo has left us. We were friends for over 50 years and I valued his friendship and mentoring as a young man in real estate, then a married man and in my senior years. We have many, many wonderful memories made along the way, including Sue and Italo baptizing our twins. He was a man of great character and family values with many friends who will miss him dearly. Even though we did not see each other frequently of late, he was always in our hearts and when we did meet it was like no time had passed at all. Rest in peace my dear friend, your kind words and amazing smile with stay with us forever. To his beautiful family – you are in our thoughts and prayers always.

Condolences to Assunta, Patti, Glen, Alfredo, Pina, the grandchildren and great grandchildren. What can I say about my friend Italo. We met in the summer of 1969. He had a real estate office on St. Clair where my brother-in-law had a billiard. Italo used to come in for coffee. We met and became friends. Our friendship got better when I asked him to be my best man. That’s when I met his whole family. We became more than friends, we became family. He and Assunta baptized my daughter. We traveled on vacation many times. From going to Prince Edward Island with 7 people in a car to Mexico. We enjoyed picnics and even lived together. These last few weeks we spent time with him including going to his favourite breakfast place. To me he was like a brother and I will miss him. Rest in peace until we meet again.

I will always remember Italo with his gentle smile, his kind disposition, and his insightful worldly advice. Although not related, he and Suzy always treated me and my family as if we were close relatives (absent any drama). I am saddened that after our 50 plus year friendship I will not see Italo at the various family functions where he shared his commonsense views with me. Thank you, Italo. You were a very decent man that touched many people. My sincerest condolences to the Venafro family.
