Sapi (nee Sbanchi) Irma Maria Madelaina – Peacefully passed, surrounded by her family at Stevenson Memorial Hospital on November 11, 2022. Irma in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late Louis Tibor Sapi. Loving mother of Louis (Teresa), Frank and James (Liz). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Eric (Cassandra), Samantha (Paul Dalton), Louis Jr and Frankie Jr. Daughter of the late Francesco and Adelina Sbanchi. The family will receive friends and family at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Thursday November 24, from 6-8pm. Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 2118 Adjala Tecumseth Townline, Tottenham, at 11:00am Friday November 25. I first met Irma in 1972 when I had just arrived in Canada. Between Irma”s English/Italian and my Scottish accent you might think communication might be difficult, but we had many laughs together and over the years she gave me wise advice. Irma knew what was important in life. We stayed in touch for 50yrs.
