It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Iris Winter (Diffin) at Simcoe Manor, Beeton, on Saturday Nov.16th, 2013. Iris was a kind, gentle, thoughtful mother and friend. Iris, aged 72, will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Dana (Greg) MacKenzie and Wendy (Paul) James and by her grandchildren Jamie, Robyn, Bryce, and Austin. Pre-deceased by grand daughter Katie. Dear sister of Joan (Arnold) de Borst, Reginald (Marg) Diffin and former wife of Roger Winter.
Respecting Iris’ wishes cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 1 King St., Weston on Saturday Nov. 23rd, 2013 at 2pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 49 Deerhurst Ave., North York, ON., M9N 3A6. Donations to Camp Oochigeas, 464 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON., M5T 2S9 would be appreciated by the family.
