Thinking of you all with mixed emotions. Part of me smiles, knowing that Aunt Iris is again with Uncle Jim who was the love of her life. The other part hurts so deeply for those left behind. Take courage in the fact that you were blessed with TWO wonderful parents, who will love and protect you forever. I have such happy memories of the times I spent with you all. I’ll never forget the joy I felt being part of your lives. Love you.

A poem of Devon, England for Mum.
Devon
Deep-wooded combes, clear-mounded hills of morn,
Red sunset tides against a red sea-wall,
High lonely barrows where the curlews call,
Far moors that echo to the ringing horn,–
Devon! thou spirit of all these beauties born,
All these are thine, but thou art more than all:
Speech can but tell thy name, praise can but fall
Beneath the cold white sea-mist of thy scorn.
From a poem by Henry Newbolt

Thinking of the entire Billings family and sharing their sorrow. Family was an important element in the lives of Jim and Iris, and they were so appreciative and proud to have such a loving and supportive family. We were fortunate to share so many great memories with our amazing neighbours, Iris and Jim. Their laughter, love and talents will always be remembered and treasured.
