My sincere condolences to the entire family. Mr. Eagan was my bus driver way back in 1977. Most times we got to school on time but every once in a while Mr. Eagan would forget that the snow on the road might be slippery and we would end up in the ditch. Those were the best of times. Good people are never forgotten.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Gerry’s passing, but a a great comfort to be with him on his way to his final resting place.
Our family has known Gerry for the past 40 years and we enjoyed his company whenever we had the opportunity to meet.
Our kids and us felt safe when he took them to school and our family appreciated the “Eagan beef” that he raised so carefully for many years. We were on all his hay rides during the early years of Tottenham Community Week. Gerry was precious to us and the community at large. We are sharing your loss
Bob Eagan says
Just a thank you to all family and friends for your support over the past week since dad’s passing. All the humorous “Gerry” stories eased the pain during our loss. Special thanks to Rod, Sue, Scott, Allan and Lisa who did an amazing job for dad and left no stone unturned to satisfy our every need. Gerry would have approved Rod !!!

As Most people that knew Gerry will say,:It was an honour to know this man” who had such a supply of jokes and etc to play on anyone yet never hurt any feelings. My wife Bertha {Bert} and Gerry worked for many years at the Credit Union and they both helped so many people get started in life with a little cash and advice and Bert couldn;t say enough good things about Gerry and neither can I. Thanks Gerry it was an honour to know you. God Bless

Bob & Theresa & Family;
Your father was a lot of things to many people and will be missed tremendously.
He will always have a special place for the little boy from Colgan for whom your dad stopped his bus in front of his house one day and gave him the opportunity to have his “first” bus ride around Adjala & Area picking up St. James students on his daily run. The memory is as fresh today as it was 30+ years ago.

Gerry was a fine fine man. His sense of humour often shown in the speeches and tributes he made to others on special occasions was second to none. I first met Gerry when, as a teenager, I worked for Walter Hurlbert who was a member of the 3rd line cooperative thrashing group of which the Eagans were a part. The world is much better place from Gerry being among us. He will be sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.
