
Picco: Frances Constance “Fran”
Peacefully at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston on Monday February 25th, 2019. Fran (O’Brien) in her 86th year, beloved wife of the late Ron Picco. Loving mother of John Patrick Picco, Thérèse Picco (Enrico Basco), Kathryn Picco (Larry McKeown), and the late Constance Picco. Loving Grandmother of Patrick and Benjamin Basco, Sadly missed by her in-laws: Imelda Zeagman (the late Paul), George Picco (Daisy). Dear sister-in-law of Angela Picco, Lillian Picco, and Mary Picco. Forever in the hearts of all her extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Matthews House Hospice Alliston for all their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Friday March 1st 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. James Church Colgan on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 12pm. In memory of Fran donations to Matthews House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

Long ago in the St. James choir, I always loved how Fran could sing those high notes and especially as she topped off “The First Noël” – heavenly! …a very special lady in that and in her humility regarding such a talent.

I had the wonderful previlge to have metFran while I was working at the Adult day program. I always looked forward to seeing Fran the days she was there. She provided us with so many laughs with her sense of humour. She had lots of wisdom to share and she loved her time with her friends there. Fran, you truly will be missed , May you Rest In Peace

John, Therese and Kathryn we are so sorry for the loss of your mom. Mrs Picco was always special to me and would remind me constantly in the early years that I was to look after her John. She was so proud of here children for each of your very special talents in very diverse jobs. She was happy when she had a visitor from back home from Ottawa or There was a new show debuted at the Theatre or John constantly looking after her and your dad and thought enough of them to stay around. Life has been a little harder for her these last few years but her and Ron will be looking down from heaven watching over her precious grandchildren and children.
