
Schwab: Donald William,
Peacefully at Southlake Health Newmarket on February 24, 2025. Don Schwab in his 85th year, beloved husband for 55 years of Margaret Schwab (nee: Hodge). Loving father of Mark and Neil. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Troy (Hailey), Ava, Lilly, and Jessica, and his great grandson Toby. Dear brother of Diane Wilson (Bill), and Gordon Schwab (Deborah), and predeceased by his brother Ken Schwab (Carole), Remembered with love of his brother in law Jerold Hodge (Jeni), and dear friend Gord Barry (Jan). Forever in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
For many years Don enjoyed playing slow pitch baseball from his 30’s to his 50’s, and for many years he loved playing Rugby. It was during the rugby years, through Don’s knee dislocation that Don met Margaret, and their love grew, and they built their lives together. Don will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Church 2118 Adjala-Tecumseth Townline Colgan, on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 10am. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow in the Cliffside Hall at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery Mount Forest after the reception. Donations in Don’s memory may be made to Chalice or Covenant House Toronto.
