
Stephenson (nee: Garbutt): Barbara Jean
Passed away as a result of a car accident on September 16, 2023, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Stephenson. Loving mother of Wayne (Meg). Loved grandmother to Cory (Whitney) of Trenton, Edward (Alicia) of Alliston and Tyler of Alliston. Dear great grandmother of Holden, Lilly and predeceased by Aurora. Fondly remembered by her brothers and sister, David of Guelph, Brian (Barb) of Dundalk, Steve (Bonnie) of Bathurst New Brunswick, and the late Sharon. Predeceased by her loving parents Gilbert and Pearl Garbutt.
Barbara will be missed by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and extended family. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham 905-936-3477, starting at 11:00 am until the time of the Service at 12:00 pm. Reception to follow at Hillside Community Church, 2314 Tottenham Rd, Tottenham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mom/Grandma at Simcoe Manor. Since her retirement I would often see Barb around town when she was on one of her walks. I enjoyed our friendly little chats….the last one being at Petro Can. in town 1 week before her passing.

She was always kind, courteous and full of smiles and eager to help in any way she could.
