Riley: Doreen,
Peacefully at her home in Hollandview Trail Retirement Residence Aurora, on June 12, 2022. Doreen Betty Riley (nee: Bonham) in her 92nd year, beloved wife of the late George Craig Riley. Loving mother of Lynn (Charlie Hall), and Leslie (David Philip). Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Ivy Bonham, her sister Violet Dingwall (Malcolm), her niece Joanne Cunliffe (Graham), and her nephew Robert Eaboni. Remembered by her nephew Gary Dingwall (Willie) and her niece Sandra Eaboni and pen pal of 75+ years Francoise Martin of France. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends. Doreen had a passion for painting, bridge, reading, crosswords, piano, puzzles, the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs. She was a steadfast supporter of Leslie and Lynn’s equine endeavours and a lover of the family pets. Those who knew Doreen loved her intelligence, sense of humour, mischievousness, quick wit, gentle teasing, and “the look” that said more than any words could ever convey.
In Doreen’s memory donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and an immediate family interment in Aurora Cemetery will be held. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

Leslie, Lynn and family…I just found out about your loss. My sincere condolences. I have many happy memories of your Mom and mine laughing together. She was a lovely person and taught me things about my Mom that I didn’t know…I think of her fondly.
Sending warm thoughts your way.

Our sincere condolences to Leslie, Lynn and Family. I can still remember her wonderful laugh. I always remember being confused when she called out our name from another room way back when. Take heart in the memories you all created and may they ease your hurt.

I so enjoyed knowing both your parents. May the sadness be replaced quickly with fond memories. They were truly memorable and I had so many laughs and friendship from them both. It’s the end of an era. The chapter is finished and the book is closed. Dolly
