O’Brien: Kimberley Ann,
Peacefully on Tuesday November 23rd, 2021, at Matthews House Hospice Alliston, with her family by her side. Kimberley O’Brien (nee Killen) at the young age of 56 years, beloved mother of Jaclyn O’Brien, Gavin O’Brien, and Nathan Watkins. Sadly missed by her cousins Karen Peer (Michael, Miah, Avery), Craig Brown (Matthew, Isaac), Lori Parsons (Taylor), and Michele Colombo (Kyle, Kaitie). Fondly remembered by Aunt Mary, Uncle Bobby, Aunt Val, Uncle Will, her family across the pond in England, her extended family and many friends.
The family will receive friends for Memorial Visitation at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Saturday December 4th, 2021 from 1pm until the time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 3pm. I met Kimberley many moons ago and we have lived countries apart and yet she was always present. A quick message here, a check in and always available to chat. Although, I didn’t get the chance to know her well I still remember her as a friend. Positive, encouraging and always with the biggest smile. She is missed and remembered.

It was a warm summer day the first time I met your Mom. She came across the street to introduce herself. With a wonderful smile she told us about herself and you all Her face lit up when she talk about you, she was so very proud. Through our conversation she spoke with pride about her Irish ancestry and then when she found out that we were of Italian descent she told us that she had lived in a community of Italians and how they would treat her as one of their own. She was so engaging so friendly that I immediately liked her and told her that I hope that she would stay around so that we could get to know each other better. I jokingly told her that I asked my neighbour to only sell the house to a good family and he kept his promise.
Your Mom told me about her cancer and with a determinate smile said that she working hard to fight it.
The care and love you showered on her was evident..she was loved. Halloween night when you open the door so that you could take a photo of her giving out candy., I saw love…there was a glow around you all…I never saw anything so beautiful! I shall never forget. I feel a loss that I will never have the opportunity to know her better, but I want you all to know…I am here…just across the street if you need anything..anytime.

You are in my thoughts all the time since I heard of your Mom’s passing.
Your Mom was an incredible woman.
I loved her spirit, generosity and always present sense of humor. We met while working together at Iron Mountain but quickly formed a friendship. The fact that our kids were our whole worlds was the first thing we discovered we had in common.
I’ll never forget epi-penning her while having lunch at the Toronto Ritz. And her gracious response to the server and chef, despite their error.
I’ll always remember our visit to the farm, her visit here in Ottawa with Nate & our seeing Ed Sheeran together. Your Mom made every occasion memorable and added fun & laughter to every moment, whatever it was – work or personal related.
Your Mom’s spirit was so strong, so bright. That’s why I feel her spirit will always be present. It’s not possible that it’s gone with her body – she will always be there for you. I hope this helps somehow as you grieve.
I plan to make the service, assuming weather’s good for the drive, but I wanted you to know I am here, you are my friends too and I hope you can call or text me anytime if I can help in any way.
