Syndikus, Christine, Elisabeth, (nee Heinrich)
Died peacefully with her family by her side at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston on October 4, 2021. Christine is the beloved wife of Werner Syndikus, cherished mother of Matthias (Julieta) and Thomas (Kristie). Remembered with great love by her sister Barbel (Siegfried), brother Martin (Regina) and sister-in-law Marianne. Forever in the hearts of her grandchildren Luna, Max, Erich, Celina and Karolyn. Christine will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic along extended family and friends.
In her final act of generosity, Christine made an organ donation to the Glioblastoma research program at McMaster University’s Cancer Research Centre.
We are grateful for the very special care provided by the staff and volunteers at Matthews House Hospice and the many nurses and support workers from St. Elizabeth that provided great comfort along with Dr. Nishikawa of Tottenham.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Matthews House Hospice or to the McMaster University’s Cancer Research Centre.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477.

Werner, Thomas and Matthias and families:
I remember Christine’s beautiful smile and how she made me and all of us feel like such a special part of the team. How I loved her voice and the way she said Werner to sound like Verner, and you calling her Christina. And how she almost glowed when she talked about ‘her boys’ – Thomas and Matthias. Sparkling memories of our Christmas parties at the Kempenfelt Centre – Christine’s grace and what wonderful hosts you both were. How she always made you feel welcome and so many good memories.
Through all of the heartache and missing Christine, I know that we will all be together again. She is already there in one of those mansions – cheering for us to have strength and courage. “In my Father’s house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2
My most sincere sympathy and love, Cheryl Anne

Dear Werner
We were so sorry to hear about Christine‘s passing. Since we’ve moved to Alliston we have missed our friends from Angela church. I remember the times we enjoyed at church picnics together at your home.
We would have liked to be able to come to her celebration of life, unfortunately I have had cancer and had a throat operation on my thyroid just last month so I am unable to attend. God’s blessing on you and your family.
sincerely
Wayne and Elizabeth
