Margaret Irene Gardhouse
Peacefully at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston, on Thursday November 1st, 2018. Marg (Caldwell), in her 89th year, beloved wife of the late Roy Gardhouse. Loving mother of Lois (Rev. George) Saunders, Kathy (Don) Mitchell, Barry (Nancy), David (Jane) and Janice (Ian) Galton. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Kent Saunders, Kimberley Saunders-Farrugia, Jeremy Mitchell, Sarah Bursey, Krista Park, Andrew Gardhouse, Elisabeth Gardhouse, Patrick Quail, Daniel Quail, Joseph Quail, Alyssa Brown and her great-grandchildren Maddie Saunders, Tom and Steve Shine and Meagan Kaigle, Scarlett and Paige Farrugia, Jacob, Joshua and Jordan Bursey, Abbigail and James Mitchell, and Logan Brown. Dear sister of Doris (late Lorne) McDowell and sister-in-law of Albert and Jean Gardhouse, Carmen (deceased) and Elva Gardhouse, and Violet and Alvin Canning (both deceased).
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Monday November 5th, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel, Tuesday November 6th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton. Jean gardhouse’s one of many fondest memories of Marg , trips to the family farm resulted in Jean cooking the Sunday meal and Marg in sewing dresses for school !
