Bachly: Marilyn Ann (nee Cook)
Surrounded by the love of her family on September 8, 2018 in Orillia in her 81st year. Beloved wife of David. Loving mother of Scott (Jackie), Kelly (Mike) Foley, Tracy (Dan) McNulty and the late Dean (Anna). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Murray (Doris) Cook. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family.
Per Marilyn’s wishes a private family funeral service has taken place. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at Kettleby Pottageville Lions Community Hall, 15980 7th Concession Rd., Schomberg on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Smilezone Foundation, 557 Chartwell Rd, Oakville, ON L6J 4A8 would be appreciated by the family.

I accidentally stumbled on this and even though I have not seen Marilyn is about 50 Years, I knew this had to be her. I have found memories of the bachly family as Kelly was my best friend in kindergarten. My belated thoughts and prayers for the bachly family. Losing mom’s is a very difficult thing. I lost mine 1 and half years ago too. Bless u all.

You don’t hear the words “pillars of the community” used much any more, but Marilyn and Dave Bachly, are the two people I think of when I hear it. Marilyn and Dave have done so much to give back to the community over the years, including donating the building we will be celebrating her life in today, to the people of King. One of my fondest memories of Marilyn is, going out to dinner, but we had to stop to pick Marilyn up at a retirement home, where she volunteered an hour a week, playing piano for the seniors. Such a Classy Lady, generous and wise, setting a great example. A lot of nice memories, my sincere condolences to David and his family.
