Aunt Hazel was a pillar of strength, integrity and wisdom in our family! If we didn’t know something, often the solution was “just ask Aunt Hazel!” She was a seamstress extraordinaire and made clothes (and doll clothes too)for all the children. Even the great, great nieces and nephews possess warm, soft blankets of her handiwork. Aunt Hazel grew the best flowers and vegetable and baked the best cookies. During a playdate she would always share a special treat from the candy jar hidden high up in the tallest cupboard.
Aunt Hazel was always positive and kept track of everyone’s successes and achievements and was free with her praise! And every Sunday morning we could count on seeing her smiling face, third row down, in Bethany United Church.
This great matriarch will always have a soft place in my heart and was a special gift in my Life journey…
Rest with God,
Love Beverlee and family xo
