Elena Chizhov says
I am deeply saddened by the loss of Gerry. Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies. It was a privilege to be involved in Gerry’s care during his difficult journey. It was an honor to have known such a great person. I will always remember Gerry as a wise, strong, compassionate person who never gave up, was always smiling and joking and did not have regrets even when he accepted his faith. He fought bravely until the end, and it comforts me that he is now resting in a better place. I cannot even understand what you are going through now, I only know it is very difficult. Time heals many wounds but the loss of loved ones becomes the defining sadness of our lives. Take great care of yourself.
