Armstrong: Gordon Roy.
Born September 26th, 1940, he died suddenly in his bed, at the age of 76, on April 14th, 2017. He was a loving husband to Linda (nee McDonald) and a beloved father to Valerie (Ian Drummond) and Louise (Kelvin Baker). A devoted Poppa to Emily and Kate Drummond and Nicole Baker. Brother to Alma, Doris, Audrey, Joyce and predeceased by his sister Eileen and brothers Bill, Joe, and Ross. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Lizzie Armstrong. Brother-in-law to John (Mirella) McDonald and Lee (Tim Doyle). Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, 2 aunts, an uncle, many cousins, coffee buddies and the farming community.
Gord never lived more than 5 miles from where he was born. He was a life long farmer and loved the land. He will be greatly missed.
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel, Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at 1:00 pm followed by interment in Alliston Union Cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshment will be held immediately following the interment in the basement of Trinity United Church, 37 Centre Street, North, Beeton.
