My deepest sympathies are extended to Sylvia’s family during this time of loss. She was a one-of-a-kind person, always into life and doing everything with enthusiasm and enjoyment. She loved life and lived it according to her very high standard. I knew Sylvia a very long time ago, when her Grandchildren, Andrea and Maggie, attended Kettleby Public School. She would come into the school for one reason or the other, would do what she had to do and then come into my Grade one class to see what the children were doing-just for a moment. Then she would end up staying all morning. She loved the children and would get so involved in what they were doing…..painting, story-writing, math games and she particularly insisted on hearing each and everyone read to her. The children loved her and she just lit up with their attention. What a wonderful woman. She led a very exceptional life. It was such a pleasure to have known her and to have inter-acted with her many times. Again, my deepest sympathy to the whole family. May She rest in peace. Joan Colwell
