At Southlake Regional Health Care Centre, Newmarket, on Sunday, February 3, 2008. Yvonne Swabey, in her 78th year,beloved wife of the late Thomas Lambert. Yvonne will be greatly missed by her sister Sue (Mrs. Bruce Still) of Strathmore, Alberta, her niece and nephew, Wendy and Thomas Still, her aunt and uncle Nesta and Ernie Swabey of Toronto, and her cousins. A memorial service will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home,1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 am.

I’m so deeply saddened by the passing of dear Yvonne, and I just wanted to express my condolences to Sue and her family and relatives.
I knew Yvonne through the African Violet Society of Canada and grew many of her hybrid African Violet varieties.
Yvonne has brought so much joy to so many people through her violets and this legacy will continue to bless people all over the world as they continue to grow her plants and remember the beauty that she created and shared with us all.
