Peacefully at Matthews House Residential Hospice, Alliston, on Saturday February 22nd, 2014, in his 83rd year, beloved husband of 60 years of Lois. Loving father of Cathy, Scott and Debbie and their spouses. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Rachel, Yvonne, Chanelle, Brianne, Sherri and Ashley. Fondly remembered by his brother George, sister-in-law Betty and husband Bill and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his mother Blanche, father Harvey and sisters Helen, Gloria and Gail. And lastly, never to forget “The Grand Ole Party Place” – Davis Lake and all his special friends there.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road Tottenham, on Thursday February 27th, 2014 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 pm. We are truly saddened by Grant’s passing. Alzheimer’s inflicts a devastating toll on the whole family. It is a cruel and baffling illness. Hopefully treatments and ultimately a cure is around the corner. Grant had a quiet strength , a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh. He will be remembered often and fondly.
