Joyce-Schoenecker: Roberta Elizabeth,
Born April 6, 1935 to Robert Canning and Cathleen Cox, in Brampton Ontario. Predeceased by her loving husbands Warren Alfred Joyce, Albert Eugene Kreutter, and Warren Kroy Schoenecker. Loving mother of Dan Joyce (Tanya), Andrew Joyce (Donna), and Karen Butterwick (Dean). Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Eric, Bruce (Natasha), Christian (Rachel), Leigh (Matt), Jacqueline (Levi), Thomas, Rebecca (Nathan), Chris (Shalyn), Kaley (Sam), Gillian (Lyall), and her great grandchildren: Marliegh, Madison, Myles, Haileigh, Jocelynn, Danika, Neila, Rorie, Qavvik, Nicholas, and great great grandchild Haven. Dear sister of Hazel Bourne, Ruth Polluck, and the late Mary Billings.
Roberta lived a full and happy life dedicated to her Lord and Saviour. She lived in Brampton in her youth, Toronto, then on to Bolton with Warren Joyce where they raised their family. The family cottage on Kapikog Lake in Mactier was an important place in her life. She moved to New York for her second marriage with a vacation home in Fort Myers Florida. She moved back to Tottenham and married her third husband Warren. Roberta went back to school in her 40’s and got a degree in social work which she then used to work as a case worker for CAS. Roberta always enjoyed gardening and especially her fairy garden. She had a passion for stained glass and photography. She travelled to many places in the world, went on numerous cruises. She had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. The past two years were very challenging but she still made new friends and memories. Roberta loved her family and friends. On Friday Dec 6th 2024, just days after entering Algonquin Grace Hospice Huntsville, Roberta passed away peacefully into the arms of her Saviour, after her battle with heart and lung disease.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Wednesday December 11, 2024 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 12pm. Reception will follow in the funeral home’s Cliffside Hall.

Roberta and I, “Bert and Ernie”, shared so many wonderful times. Many tears, but so much more laughter. She was so proud of her family. Her caring warmth and silliness will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her.

Dan, Andrew and Karen,
Hugs for all, as you go through this time of loss and remembering..nothing much fazed your mom, did it? She would just smile. So happy to look back on special times at the cabin up north and remember the crates of corn and peaches we schlepped over on the boat!
We look forward to seeing her again
