Ritchie: Matthew Thomas Charles,
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Monday March 11, 2024, in his 41st year. A graduate of Humber College’s Culinary Arts program, Matthew was an award winning chef. He is survived by his parents William and Carol (nee: Whealy) Ritchie. Dearly loved brother of Christopher (Kathryn Worzel) and his niece Ivy. Matthew will be missed by his uncles Andrew Ritchie and Peter (Barbara) Ritchie, and cousins Jennifer and Laura.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Matthew’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home Tottenham. I am in complete shock to hear this terrible news… 🙁 I am so sorry to know that Matt is no longer here. Matt was a light in the darkness. Upon first meeting him, it truly felt like I knew Matt my whole life. He was the most kind, patient, and funny guy. I will miss his wonderful smile, and the way his eyes would light up…Matt was such a family man and he would always be available to help anyone at any time. I’m fortunate to have known Matt, but wish I had more time with him. I often thought of Matt and always wished him well. You will truly be missed. :’(
