Barton: Frederick Barrington “Barry”
Peacefully at Matthews House Hospice Alliston, on August 4, 2023. Barry Barton in his 84th year, beloved husband of Nancy (nee: Robinson). Loving father of Sherry (Brent Thompson), Dave, and Ken. Dearly loved grandfather of Andrew (Megan Corneau). Sadly missed brother of Brent (Margaret), and John (Dianna). Forever in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Missed by his puppies Callie and Hailey.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Sunday August 13, 2023 from 1pm until the time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 2pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barry’s memory may be made to Matthews House Hospice, or Newmarket Stronach Cancer Centre, or Stevenson Memorial Hospital. Condolences and memories may be left at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

I send my sincere condolences to all of you. I have a special memory of Barry with his cool suit on and dancing up a storm, making all of us laugh with his stories at an event many years ago, which I’m sure embarrassed Dave haha. I remember thinking he was such a cool dad. I know he loved all his furry babies that you both took in over the years and the love he had for all of you. I’m thankful to have known him.
I picture him now eating his candies , wearing one of his cool suits wearing his hat and smiling.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barry last year, a most pleasant, kind soul with a wonderful sense of humor, as he reminisced his childhood days. My father, Barry’s cousin, spoke fondly of Barry often.
