Dearest KATIE and FAMILY:
With four girls, and brother David, the Scott household was a beehive of activity! David protected his privacy and bedroom with great vigilance! We were not allowed to enter the inner sanctum! Despite this, we got to know his faithful team of buddies and our true love for each of them remains to this day!
We will forever remember the twinkle in Dave’s eyes! He always looked like he was the keeper of interesting insights. It was great to know him over so many years and we will miss him very much.
The last time we saw Dave was at a gathering in Olga and David’s house and as usual delightful. We were reminiscing about the 70’s. What astounded me was when he brought up memories of a guitarist we both loved, Dominic Troiano. Back then I was very lucky to be involved with hiring Canadian musicians and I had a huge crush on Domenic and his guitar. Dave remembered and I found that so endearing. How did he remember that?
We are so sorry for your loss Katie. Memories of Dave will forever be in our hearts. Sincere condolences to you and Dave’s family. Sending you all our love.

Very saddened to hear about Dave. We knew each other since high school, so, we go back.
Of our cohort, Dave was the best student. He was very outgoing, and had a large social network. The Steeds were a musical family, and Dave had it in spades.
Dave had a great sense of humour, and was the consummate entertainer. He was not shy about performing, and It was during those moments when he was at his best. I think it must have been his starring role, growing up surrounded by the congregation as he did, at Humber Valley United Church.
Dave was a strong and endearing presence. I am happy to have known him.

Dave was a part of “ our gang”. From the first day of high school we all shared a love of Music and getting away up North for our boys weekends. Over the years we went between 12 Mile, Lake of Bays and Stoney lake and later on, Healy and Blackstone. Dave was an integral part of my life as was his family. Arthur Jr and Barb had moved out but Elaine was subject to all sorts of torment from Dave and I.
I spent a lot of time with Dave’s family and I sometimes wonder how Arthur and Muriel put up with some of our antics.
Dave has been one of my best friends since I was 14 and I miss him so much. The boys weekends will feel empty without him and his goofy, fun loving ways. We’ll see you on the flip side good buddy.

Katie and family,
My deepest sympathies on your loss.
Dave was such an admirable person to work with and very dedicated to his clients, when I worked with him at Griffith. When I think back to those days (1987 to 1999), it’s Dave I think of, as the face of the company, a very respected person, and long-term employee.
Gone so young; may he rest in peace.

Please accept my condolences for your loss.
I knew Dave from public school but lost contact with him after university.
Dave was always known for his sense of humour, his sharp wit and his one-liners. He was also known for his fondness of music. We used to jam occasionally on guitar and piano. He enjoyed telling us tales of his cottage trips. His humorous stories were legendary and I am sure that he will live on through them in our minds.

Dear Katie and Family.
With my deepest sympathy on the loss of Dave. I first met him in 1979 when I joined Griffith Foods as a Spice & Cereal Technician and went down to the bakery line he was supervising. I followed him through his sales career and worked with him as his R&D support on many accounts. He was a kind soul and strived for harmony amongst all with whom he dealt.
May God give you strength and comfort.
RIP Dave.

David was my brother and friend. We were often on the “naughty” list growing up but we had so much fun. Katie has been his rock for all of his adult life. Dave loved music and was a talented guitarist, I think I am hearing strains of “stairway to heaven”. Miss you Baby Bro. love always from Babalicious
