It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Redman at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Melissa Redman (nee: Hann) for 38 years. Loving father of Kimberly Redman and predeceased by the tragic loss of his son Luke Redman. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Redman and his in-laws Joe and Pat Hann. Dearly beloved brother of Nancy (Claus Zander), and the late Carol (Norm Eberschlag). Sadly missed by brother-in-law Michael Link (the late Manuela), Leslie Keeping (Donnie), Lynda Link (Gary Buckridan). Fondly remembered by his nephews Ryan Bender (Christine and Chase), Daniel Bender (Megan, Kyle and Elizabeth) and Alex Link. Forever in the hearts of all his extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place and at the request of Daniel there will be no service. There will be a family celebration at a later date.
Daniel fought a very courageous battle with cancer. He was a private person with a fabulous, witty sense of humour. Daniel was most happy at home with his family. His wife, Melissa and he have been married for 38 years. Daniel was very pleased with his daughter Kimberly’s recent work accomplishments. The tragic loss of his son Luke, 3 years ago, devastated him.
Daniel was an expert in product knowledge and highly respected in the Tire Industry. He was the kind of person who would sell you the best tires or wheels for your vehicle, not the items that cost the most.
Daniel could tell you very detailed sports statistics of his beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs and he recently converted Melissa into a baseball fan.
Many thanks to the kind, caring and dedicated staff at Matthews House Hospice.
Daniel, may you be at peace and reunite with Luke and other family members.
For those of you who wish, donations to “The Luke Redman Legacy Award” at Conestoga College, would be appreciated by the family. A donation can be made by credit card securely online. Please select student awards in the designation box and add “The Luke Redman Legacy Award” to the name of the award in the comment box. Donations can also be made to Matthews House Hospice Alliston.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

It was a great experience to work with Dan for so many years.
I learned so much from Dan…tire knowledge & customer service.
Dan and I were able to make each other laugh and we always had
each others back.
Dan was an excellent cook and would bring extra magnificent sandwiches
for me at lunch!
